Chess clubs and club sections of Kraków 26

The oldest name here is Krakowski Klub Szachistów 1893. Its club room on ul. Prądnicka 43 keeps a weekly timetable of groups, from first steps for children to evenings for stronger players, and its coaches also teach in a school in Nowa Huta and in several primary schools. Klub Szachowy Dwie Wieże trains and runs category tournaments on ul. Armii Krajowej in Bronowice. Two of the city’s old sports clubs have chess sections: KS Cracovia 1906 trains young players on Saturday mornings at Al. 3 Maja, and KS Korona 1919 works mainly with children on ul. Kalwaryjska.

TKKF Drogowiec holds a tournament at about ten minutes per player on Tuesday afternoons in the senior club on ul. Sienkiewicza, and IT Chess Club Kraków meets on Thursday evenings at Bikershot Pub on ul. Czarnowiejska. School sports clubs such as UKS Bakcyl Bielany, the junior teams of MKS Centrum, the student players of AZS AGH and of Collegium Medicum, and clubs in Wieliczka, Skawina and Staniątki fill in the rest of the area.
